I don’t know if Netflix considers reviews in renewing seasons, but please let there be a season 3, 4, etc. of this show. I’ll start by saying I am not a fan of the Zombie genre (the exception being Shaun of the Dead), but this show has changed my point of view. While there are common zombie tropes in the script, they are presented in a way that tackles the questions “what would a zombie plague look like and be handled in 16th century Korea? What would cause such an outbreak and why?” Of course there is much more to the show including gorgeous period set design, costumes, talented actors, and a well written script/storyline (the most important piece for me at least). I was also pleasantly surprised how well the English dubbed version was handled for English speaking audiences so I could focus not only on the story itself, but have the time to appreciate the production value and the tremendous amount of work that went into this show. My only criticism of the show is can get a bit soapy in certain episodes, but it is not enough to detract from the character development and action. As a warning for viewers who want 100% historical accuracy in terms of real life characters, true historical events, and even some in the costuming you may be disappointed, but do not that let these these few complaints from other reviewers stop you from enjoying the series. It’s well worth a watch. Bravo Netflix. Keep supporting intriguing creators and their work.
