Just watched it for the third time. This movie has excellent acting and writing - with gripping, edge of your seat action and amazing special effects Tom Cruise excels here. He and Emily Blunt are the heart of the movie. Their chemistry together takes this movie above the typical action movie and gives it a compelling, mesmerizing quality, where the stakes are very high, and so is the cost. Well worth watching. Highly recommend.

Hidden gem of a movie.Riveting real life drama and a beautiful story of friendship with characters you care about. They make the science seem exciting! You could imagine the intensity of the events happening just this way in real life. Well worth watching! This would make a good movie to recruit astrophysicists and astronauts in real life! The movie is a scientist's dream come true! The actors are excellent and so relatable. Recommend!

It has that blend of charm, sci Fi, humor, and loyalty to each other, above and beyond, that the original had. And also has that element of hope against difficult odds, as well as excellent acting and writing. Captures more of the spirit of the original with just excellent sci Fi concepts, which is just delightful to see.

Entertaining and heartwarming.

This is awesome! The cast is stellar, such solid acting that the time elements are more of a frame for the human drama that is playing out. Well written, well acted, and very heartfelt! Loved it! Ryan Reynolds is at his witty best, and manages to come off as lovable despite all the funny snark, quite a feat! The boy who plays him does a great job, the woman who plays Maya is excelllent, managing to convey a 3 dimensional enemy, with deep flaws,which makes her story more believable, Jennifer Garner is so relatable as a person, not just a mom/ wife, Mark Ruffalo is such a great actor he manages to steal a few very emotional scenes from Ryan Reynolds, hard to do! And Zoe Saldana and Ryan Reynolds together again! They have such great chemistry together! Zoe is amazing, portraying a believable, talented, capable strong woman, so great to see that! , A feel good movie, on my list to re- watch again!
