As a fan of the 2012 original, Son of Sardaar, I was genuinely excited for the sequel. However, Son of Sardaar 2 was a real disappointment, and I left the theater feeling more annoyed than entertained.
While its predecessor delivered on the promise of action-comedy, the sequel feels like a forced and hollow imitation. Instead of witty humor, the jokes are tired and vulgar, relying heavily on cheap puns and wordplay. The narrative's excessive focus on themes of cheating and infidelity is not only frustrating but also contributes to the film's overall unpleasant tone.
One of the most glaring issues is the poor attempt at comedy, which often comes across as uninspired and lazy. The censor board's apparent leniency toward the movie's crass jokes and word-swapping is puzzling, especially in a film that seems to have very little to offer beyond low-brow humor.
