I understand living with mental health disorders. I have struggled to survive everyday with Bipolar since I was diagnosed at age 15, and then later in life with PTSD.
What I don't understand is why this series is put on AppleTV. Why not make it free to everyone since it's about the people "you can't see" in the world who struggle everyday alone with mental health issues, not just the celebrities.
The majority of people with mental illness can't afford to subscribe to Apple, or cable TV or other providers. The only source of entertainment worldwide that most with health issues can afford is what comes free with their, already over the top, expensive internet subscription.
When you put it on Apple TV or anything else that requires a separate subscription it stops the heartfelt gesture reaching out to those in need for positive re-enforcement to get through those difficult days and turns it into the cold raw nature of business marketing and shareholders of a tv series for what type of suffering in the world is trending right now and how the rich can get richer from those who suffer.
Don't put it on paid tv if it's for helping those who need mental health positive re-enforcement. Let it be accessible to all those worldwide who are in need, and it is only then this series will truly make a profound difference in the lives of the people in need.
Thanks to God I have had such a strong support system around me in my family and because of that I have started by bachelor's degree at age 53 because I refuse to allow my mental disorder to define who I am and to keep me from what I can accomplish.
Sadly, most people with mental health issues don't have a strong support system, and then to be told in order to find some positive stories from celebrities' so they don't feel alone they need to subscribe to a channel they probably can't afford!
Just one more struggle facing the mental health crisis worldwide that calls on the almighty dollar and to reach into the pocket of most people who don't have.
"The Me You Can't See" .... unless you can afford to subscribe to AppleTV.
