I'm glad I managed to get my hands on a copy of this before the author re-branded to "The Korpes File Series," as it's now out of print. Each of the short stories was a reprint from "Tamyrh Quarterly" (the author's newsletter), and supplied the reader with relevant world history through the eyes of characters you met in the series.

An engaging short story that seems to set up for a sequel.

Here's a sci-fi/speculative fiction novel that manages to stay away from modern cliches and dares to create dimensional, non-'perfect' characters. Readers of cyberpunk, dystopian fiction, and hardcore world-building will enjoy this first book in what promises to be a great series.
