Having read the book series multiple times, I was super keen to watch the TV series. The 1st season was amazing and very true to the book. Not so keen on the 2nd or 3rd season but I've watched all seasons now. I have a question...why do TV producers feel compelled to cast a character who is completely different to what's described in the books? Jamie & Claire are pretty good (although Claire should be shorter and more buxom), as are the majority of the others. However, the character of Young Ian...OMG what were they thinking??? Young Ian is tall, dark (like his mum), solid and easily passes for an indian in the books. In the TV series...small, skinny and red headed!! But I will keep watching! Super excited to read the 10th novel...
