It staggers me that they can find enough people to be in the live audience let alone enough viewers year on year to cause it to be recommissioned. I just don't get it but then I guess that may be a good thing for the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things.

This is heart breaking television that packs a real punch but running throughout the series is humour that will speak to anyone who has ever been up against it. I agree with the reviewer who said that this is British TV at it's best. You soon become emotionally invested in Alma's experiences and her journey affords plenty of laugh out loud moments but you're soon brought down to earth with insights into the darker aspects of her life. The last two episodes are simply wonderful.
