Watch Seasons 2 and 3 in succession. Not only were they totally groundbreaking tv for the time, they still jostle heavily for place alongside a few others for the best tv series ever written. They are that good. I'd never seen anything like it at the time, and I've never seen anything else like it since: it's truly groundbreaking; very funny; no canned laughter; has tons of action; is exploding with creative ideas and analogy ... they are magnificent, very emotional, and not without Shakespearean influence either. Don't be fooled by the fact they are over 20 years old: they are over 20 times better than the stuff that is made now. Watch Season 2 and 3 (they are the best) then if you want more try out the other seasons.
