Ok film, it's a desi spy thriller and only for those who go to the theatre with not very high expectations.
Key highlights: The drone shots of Turkey, the entry of Parineeti on the screen (in a motorboat, just like Bond) and the bike chases and the marine commando-type ops, the film has a flavour of a Hollywood thriller, with a garnish of patriotism and mythology that hails the power of Nari or Durga shakti. Some people have criticised the PUBG style climax shooting sequence of Parineeti, with Shankar Mahadevan's patriotic song in the background, BUT I LOVED IT. IT GAVE ME THE FEELING OF MYSELF SLAYING THE VILLAIN.
Parineeti is the biggest star in the film and has done her best, Hardy, actually, looks like a Turkish guy, his love for acting is visible, at least, I appreciate it.
The film can be called a 3-hour version of OTT series like Special Ops or London or Lahore confidential or Kathmandu connection.
Those who criticise Parineeti or director Ribhu or T-Series Bhushan Kumar, must bear in mind that a large chunk of Hindi belt or small town cinegoers are not followers of MI or Bond flicks, so for them this film is fresh and exciting. It's an experiment or a bouquet of spying, spy-love, deceit, action and wonderful scenic views of Turkey - something which a small town viewer may, otherwise, not have access to.
The film is a lower version of Mission Impossible and Bond flicks but I firmly believe that Indian cinema needs such efforts. PS: I must admit I am a Parineeti fan so that bias may reflect in my views. JAI HIND
