Remember watching it when it was first released and was expecting a typical follow on in Richie's style, therefore was pretty disappointed.
Not sure what spurned me to watch again some years later but I did. A very interesting movie delving into what really controls you with some interesting concepts and ideas baked into a cool aesthetic for messaging.
It's a small bit of fun to read the reviews of this as it's such a divisive piece of work and it can be fairly easy to spot those that got the theme of the movie vs those that didn't.
Very very few reviews that understood the concepts but left with a negative impression, which frankly are the reviews worth gauging the work on. It's a shame many don't seem to get it, which the film sort of addresses itself.
Definitely worth a spin, just don't expect lock stock etc.
