I’m not sure I saw the same film as those who are raving about Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. This film had NONE of the stylistic elements, clever dialogue or interesting characters one would expect from Guy Richie. There’s practically no time spent on developing the individual characters so it’s impossible to care about any of them. The pacing feels stilted, and as a result the film never quite takes off. If there’s any saving grace to be found in this movie, it’s in learning about the true life actions and sacrifices of these brave men and women.
