I was disappointed with Weekend in Gaza. The jokes were predictable, and the writing wasn’t fresh. Some of the primary characters were annoying, such as the Israeli woman who was in fear for her life and yet screeched loudly, insisted on using her cell phone, and dropped her facial costume at inopportune moments. Also the hero’s sidekick, who is always threatening to pull out of the undertaking when he’s most needed. It just didn’t work.
