Not sure why writers like John Sandford and Michael Connelly feel the need to mention characters wearing masks and bring up Covid protocols. We’ve all lived through it. Can’t we just read a cool fiction thriller without having to be reminded of it? Not sure I understand why they do this. It adds nothing to the story and makes me want to just put the book down and read other authors that have decided not to mention it.
