Ths is a compelling story. The author's use of language was so expressive that there was no need for expletives or prolonged, graphic violence. The imagery was original and imaginative e.g. "Rows of abandoned beach chairs studded the soft sand looking in the scant moonlight like skeletons of some extinct mammal."The characters were well drawn and credible. I am looking forward to reading otheer Adam Lapid stories
