Dreary subject matter, dreary story, dreary setting. We walked out of the cinema as it was suffocating and dull.

If you strip away all the cgi you are left with a somewhat hollow story and unconvincing acting. It’s Disney style Star Wars trying to be blade runner. It was Godzilla all over again - too much dependence on special effects but the characters and the story telling were weak. The world needs a new H G Wells or Phillip K Dick to rescue SciFi.

A gentle and funny movie with some excellent acting and convincing sets. Such a relief to be able to watch something on the big screen that’s not about superheroes, video games, Hollywood woke or other shallow nonsense. More like this please!

Poorly conceived story and silly science. The movie seemed like a thin excuse for one long car chase and gun fight.

Nothing to do with real history. Ridiculous distortion of Victorian history.
