When I was searching for historical fiction novels, I saw a recommendation of this book. At first, I wasn't expecting much until I started reading it. Because the characters, the dialogues, the emotions are so dense, for the first time, I cried while reading a book. I could visualise what the characters would be going through. It book also spreads awareness about the situation of women during war time. The sacrifices of women are often forgotten in history books, which is very unfortunate. Taken place in WW2, the book showcases the herotic deeds and the struggles of women. If anyone is interested in history and wants an adventure and emotion filled novel, I'd definitely recommned this 400 page novel!
