I purchased Halo 5 about a year ago and just got around to playing it. I greatly enjoyed Halo 4 and was expecting a great gaming experience, but unfortunately this iteration in the franchise is quite disappointing. One can only conclude from the Campaign mode that it is designed to be played by online co-op, that fight against the 3 Wardens is almost impossible on even Heroic setting. The characters are basically wooden and the story is both rushed and truncated. I have played Halo since it's beginnings and am a true, diehard fan, but I do not enjoy the mindless fracas of multiplayer. The richness of Campaign mode has always been the greatest draw for me. I feel that 343 Industries intentionally hobbled Solo Campaign mode to increase their revenue stream and am very upset about how they've wasted my money and damaged my love of this franchise, which I have been playing for decades. I also purchased Halo Wars and I plan to do research before I consider purchasing Halo Infinite. I hope that they have corrected this grievous error they made with Halo 5 Guardians in future iterations of the franchise. Focusing their time and efforts on multiplayer mode and creating enemies that you basically have to purchase a Microsoft gold membership to defeat is very unethical to those of us who pay the purchase price for a Halo game but do not receive a Solo Campaign mode that is worthwhile.
Sincerely,
A loyal Halo player,
Daniel Christensen
