Not as good as JC3, but still a lot of fun. The JC series may not be known for a great story line, but JC4 has a really bad one, with really bad voice acting. The extra options for the grappling hook are nice, but the incentive to blow stuff up is lacking, so it starts feeling like a waste of time. Also when you are done taking over a base everything is magically repaired which kind of ruins the immersion, in JC3 everything stayed broken. They don't even bother fixing it when you leave the area and come back, it's - mission complete - "phwoom" - everything is fixed. The script seems bad as well, no humour, Rico seems like an old grumpy man more intent of getting people off his lawn then actually having any fun. The map is way bigger, but there is not much to do inbetween mission points so it's just wasted space. Not a bad game, but not a good game, wait for the Steam specials.
