Personally, I liked the movie, but must admit that it has a few loopholes. You might enjoy it more if you approach it as a purely fictional movie for its gripping Visual Effects ONLY. It would be much easier for viewers if they separate it from Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana. It's necessary to acknowledge that no one can outperform the excellence of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana and B. R. Chopra's Mahabharata, as they were the true representations of these epics without any controversies. This movie should be taken as a 3D version with special effects, purely for entertainment purposes.
One aspect I didn't appreciate was the inclusion of cheap dialogues for Lord Hanuman. I believe such an esteemed character should be portrayed with respect. Also, unneeded comedy diminishes the gravity of the Ramayana.
Also, the casting choices could have been better; it was a big disappointment for me, except for Saif and Prabhas, who justified their characters to some extent. Sunny Singh's portrayal of Laxman was a big letdown. Regarding the female actors, the one who played Vibhisana's wife stood out as the best. It was difficult for me to accept Kriti's portrayal of Janki, as it didn't meet my expectations.
Despite these shortcomings, there were a few mind-blowing scenes in the movie. Overall, I would consider it an average film, worth watching once but not something that will significantly move you.
Finally, what bothered me the most was the absence of the National Anthem at the beginning of the movie. I found myself wondering if this practice has been discontinued in theatres!!!
