I think that Despereaux was born deformed, with deformed ears that`s probably why they were very big not normal sized.

This is a very sad movie, I saw that the feelings in this movie were and showed sadness, loneliness, anger as well as happiness. I wished that the tiger was not killed. The tiger was special to Rob in a way that`s probably why he went to heaven just like Rob`s mother. Rest in peace beautiful tiger. I did not like the scenes in the movie were Sistine was bullied in school by others making fun of her name by laughing at it and saying unkind things about it, were Sistine was being a little bit not very nice to Rob and the scenes with the bully male-human animals that were teasing Rob.
