More miss than hit. The humour never quite bursts through the fact that it's all scripted. Bearing in mind it's a play within a play, the funniest moments were when the actors broke the fourth wall and engaged with the audience & spontaneously ad-libbed, but those moments were rare / scripted. But the structural problem pervaded throughout: Things are *meant* to be going wrong. Funny in the way that a Michael McIntyre chatshow or Mrs Brown's Boys is funny. It's a middling sitcom, not bleeding-edge stand-up; the humour is contained throughout.

I've been aware of 'Little'Alex Horne since, oooh, 2009 and am so glad he's hit the big-time, he has one of the freshest minds in British comedy. The show is clearly a product of his diagonal mind and his employment of Greg Davies as the Alpha male fulfills the idea here. It's so easy to identify with the tasks the contestants are put through, and such a wringer to see them twist in the breeze, as they all did as 'breakthrough' comedians. Such a fresh show, and white-hot banter. Watch it!
