Warning to animal lovers, the sweet puppy is shown being hurt in the beginning and then the next scene flashes to the puppy bloody from being murdered. The movie sets up the puppy in a few scenes so you fall in love with him.
I get that the director is trying to get you to feel the pain that the main character feels, but it’s done too well. Wish it had been one of those movies with a warning in the beginning that animals weren’t harmed to give viewers a heads up that there would be animal violence/abuse—not just implied animal violence. The movie itself is good.
