Mixed feelings about this movie. On the one hand there is beautiful cinematography and the chemistry between Eddie Redmayne and Dan Fogler makes their scenes the best of the film. The beasts are still fantastic but the movie unfortunately is not. Bogged down by a haphazard plot, too many arbitrary characters, and a lack of real source material, the film never stops to explain itself, the characters motives, or why characters even exist. As a fan of the HP books, the films, and even the first installment of FB, I was hoping this movie would still bring some of that magic and fun to the screen. While the previous films had always lost some of the magic of the books, there was still plenty to be found. Sadly, it seems like the magic was lost throughout this film, just like most of the audience.
