aladdin 1992 > aladdin 2019 1. too many details were left out especially at the beginning of the movie. as a person who has seen the 1992 version of aladdin multiple times, i was still confused through out the 2019 version. 2. i didn’t connect to the characters that well. the sultan was boring in the 2019 version. in the 1992 version, he was more fun and childish if you would say. jafar also didn’t seem as evil or as envious as he did in the original. aladdin didn’t seem as connected to jasmine as he was in the original. there’s more i would like to say, but i’d be typing all night if i did. 3. there were things that i did like, but i wouldn’t want to spoil anything for anyone. 4. too many details were added to the movie that, to me, threw off the storyline. i was super excited for this movie since the live action beauty and the beast was great, but i’m really disappointed on how aladdin 2019 turned out.
