SIX the musical is, in my opinion, the best musical. It combines history, feminism, and pop music. The costumes and the cast are wonderful. My favorite queen is Katherine Howard, but they are all amazing! The songs will be stuck in your head forever! I highly recommend seeing, or even listening to the soundtrack. It also got me interested in the Tudor era. You can find videos of MEGASIX on Youtube, because of their "Get your phones out you're gonna wanna film this!" line that they used to and sometimes still say in the final song. A lot of the 1 star reviews say that this is just a pop concert with no story. That is the opposite of the truth! Although you may have to listen for a story, you will see that these women have had horrible lives- especially the beheaded cousins. As an example, Katherine Howard's song "All you wanna do", is constantly being bashed for being inappropriate and too "Ariana Grande". But if you listen closely, the song may bring you to tears. K Howard says she was assaulted and abused by all of the men in her life. People are so sexist when they describe her or her song as inappropriate or too sexual. She was a victim. So was Anne Boelyn, even if that is not as conveyed in the musical. Most of the media presented about Tudor history revolves around Henry the VIII , and it is so nice, as a girl, to see the point of view of the six wives. I am OBSESSED with this musical, and I hope you enjoy it as well. Love it so much!
