First of all, I love Zelda. My first play was OoT, and even loved titles such as Zelda DX (Link's Awakening) for Game Boy Color, and Windwaker. It took me a little longer to like Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and even Breath of the Wild.... But they eventually grew on me. I was excited to impart my love for Zelda on my young children during the release of Tears. We waited for the release day, got the game and all watched together as Dad played. Truly a great start. After the opening sequence, and tutorial stages in the sky; I could not help how similar it was to breath of the wild. Truly, nothing felt new. We took a break, and tried a little more today. I am getting bored already. There is nothing new about this game worth the endurance trial. The vehicles felt cool for a minute. The arm feels like a refurb of the Sheikah Slate. All in all, it feels like a spendy $70 DLC package. I hope it gets better. But I shouldn't have to apologize to my children why the game is boring, and how I've already lost interest.
