I am a fool for WWII movies, but watching this movie felt more like a chore by the second half. The acting is decent, and I appreciated the musical pieces and novel perspective. However, it was way too long, the ending was largely predictable, and the writing was mediocre at best.

Predictable, saccharine, and SO REPETITIVE. It was like reading a Hallmark channel movie script written by someone with dementia. I want those hours of my life back.
