I have been an MI fan since MI:1 long ago. After an amazing MI:6 I was so excited to see this movie. Imagine my surprise today! This movie was SO disappointing! I wanted to love it but it was way too long and boring honestly. It had no plot and no originality. The stunts were what we have seen in all the other movies…train scene, alleys, car chase…bland and repetitive. I didn’t connect at all with Grace’s character. In fact I was annoyed she kept running away and Ethan kept chasing her. I hated that they killed off Ilsa who has been such a compliment to the MI franchise in the last couple of movies. There was no connection or team feel between Ethan, Luther and Benji. In fact, Luther and Benji really weren’t involved in the end and what should have been the most exciting part of the movie. Whoever wrote MI: Dead Reckoning completely missed the boat! I’m not looking forward to Part 2. I may rewatch MI:6 instead. I’d much rather remember the series that way.
