I think it's pretty fair to disregard anyone complaining about wasted characters or plot holes in an ongoing show that still has at least one big flashback coming. Also dating this breaks previous lore is laughable, and simply incorrect. Is it perfect? Of course not. It's certainly given a lot of people brain rot though.
