My late wife and I enjoyed a programme called "Countdown" from the very first episode 40 years ago. It's really disappointing that it's been replaced by The Colin Murray Show with pop music discussion taking the place of interesting and amusing guests. I'm trying to cope by recording the new programme and fast forwarding through everything except the letters and numbers but it's tedious and I don't think I can keep it up. Who is responsible for the murder of a good programme?
