Loved this album when it came out and love it to this day. A great mix of genres within, such as progressive rock on the instrumental jam ''Out Of the Blue,'' to gospel on ''Where's The Shoorah,'' to mysticism on ''The Wide - Eyed and Laughing,'' to flat - out rock and roll on ''Bite Your Lip.'' This album isn't widely regarded as being part of Elton's 'classic' period, but I continue to enjoy it very much after hundreds of listenings nearly 50 years on.
