Celeste is my favourite game of all time.
Broad statement right? Well, no. Celeste is a masterpiece in every aspect.
The level design is genius, constantly doing new and inventive things and pushing the physics and mechanics of the game
The music is soooooooooo good! Lena Raine has crafted something so personal, touching, beautiful and out of this world. Words simply do not do it justice
The story, while not being the main aspect of the game, is still well done. All the issues presented in game are dealt with respect and love. And the game has taught me a lot about how to deal with my own mental health, and how caring the people around me truly are
And, in my opinion the best aspect of the game, the difficulty. It is hard to describe. It's hard as nails sure, but you never feel as if the challenges are as artificial or BS. You always feel that it's fair, and you always want to give it one more shot!
Well. I hope this review has convinced you to buy the game. it is clear that this was a very personal game for everyone who worked on it. You can see the love, care, heart and soul bursting from the game. And it's always good to support indie developers right? Because the rise of indie games such as this have made some of the most unfiltered passionate games with a vision that i have ever played
So, please, play the game, you won't regret it
