Watching the show after Kimmy went to get her needle biopsy hit home for me. I watch the Oprah’s show Wayback in the day I used to rush home to catch the show. They were doing a show on how to do your own self breast exam, doctor said it was good to do it in the shower with soap and water so that night I actually did that and that’s when I found out a hard spot that didn’t move was spot like a pulled muscle or something , but I knew it was not right . The breast exam and I had feel something underneath my arm so that night I did the test myself again with soap and water . So, here I am 28 I went through 8 Doctors that told me I’m to young and it’s nothing. Doctor 9 was a charm and did the needle biopsy . I waited he ordered it STAT. it was positive , so I had to have surgery chemotherapy and radiation stage four. Long story short I came back two more times and I found it those 2 times myself as well. I wrote Oprah letters about this , but I guess they never got to her it was snail mail then later just emails , Had I not seen that show that day I would not be here today. Okay , came back back 2 more times and I caught it then to and I just kept fighting . I’ll be 60 this year . I was Blessed to see my daughter graduate . they said I wouldn’t see your get out of elementary school .I have 2 Grandchildren with one on the way. I never got a chance or a response back but that show actually save my life I wouldn’t be here right now had not saw that show. You know your body better than doctors. No all positive cancers show up and ultrasound especially when you’re young because your breast are very dense. When I saw that show I cried. Treatments are much better. Oprah saved my life.
