Honestly, I was very disappointed with the live-action. I grew up watching the original Winx Club show and still watch it as a comfort show. Winx's main point was to six fairies with magical powers and defeat evil. The show is unique because it combines magic and sci-fi. But they have more relationship issues, friendship issues, and more in-depth topics. On top of that, the show is known for its bright and cheery colors. The show also showed diversity, with three of the girls being white: Stella, Tecna, and Bloom. And the other three are POC Aisha Musa and Flora. Netflix took this and threw away the main core points of the show out of the window. Not only did they make the live-action extremely dark and take out any elements of color, but they also took out a lot of the main characters or just replaced them with new characters. Stella, the fairy of the sun and moon, is known for being a girls girl and for her impeccable fashion sense, but Netflix made her into a mean girl and just another stereotypical blonde girl, and not only that, they made all the girls wear hideous outfits something Stella would never be caught dead wearing. And the fairies don't have any transformations, let alone wings, so how are they fairies? I am not saying the show is bad it's a good show my issue is why did Netflix call it a live-action of Winx Club when it has nothing to do with the source material? They could have just called it something else and I bet it still would have done well because many teenagers including myself enjoy dark-themed shows.
Again I am not saying it is a bad show but I am disappointed with how they made this into a live-action Winx
