A strange book to read. In chapter one we meet Frank and read his story which is nightmarish in parts. Also, judging by today's weather throughout Europe this chapter seems quite believable. However, the rest of the (many) chapters seem to bear little resemblance to the major character though he pops up from tome to time. You can fast forward many chapters - I couldn't see the significance. Apart from some interesting parts where characters visit animals in their natural habitat, the whole book is gloomy and doesn't end satisfactorily.
