I absolutely love this movie. I read the books probably close to a decade ago and watched this movie right when it came out. I agreed with most of the reviews saying they didn’t like the ending because now she has to suffer to live without her family. But after watching the movie again, i found a new perspective. I actually love how the movie ended. It shows that even though you’ve lost so much there is still SO MUCH to live for. Im not saying it won’t be hard but it gives survivors a feeling of hope in a way. Things will get better and you are not ruined.
