Sophia Loren shines in what could be her farewell performance. Though this is a story that has been told a few different times. The truly old school Italian cinematic touch gives this a different feel. Momo brings a dark but loveable presence to the film and gives it a current feel with all that is going on in the world. This film is truly deserving of Oscar consideration. The only problem I had with the film is that the development of the characters backstories is very minute, but the actors do their best to compensate for that.
