Ron Walker

This film is well within my best 10. All three main characters play amazing roles in just 24 hours of the lives. Particularly Finny. but Bassett and Andrews perfectly cast also. Set on November 2nd, day of the dead, in late 30’s with authentic supporting history pre war Germany influence in Mexico. I’ve seen it 5-6 times and I’ll see it again.

I thought it was such a refreshing change to anything else I’d watched in years. It was so unpredictable but everything about the story was believable but sometimes zany, which created great entertainment. The characters were all visible but none were, standout or dominating. Alive herself was a beautiful personality. She welded this beautiful short story together with great skill and sincerity I note there is an intended 2nd series. I’ll be watching.
