Great movie! This movie captured the intimacy of a broken couple. Five minutes into the movie and I was already fighting back tears. The characteristics of each character, reminded me of how toxic an unhealthy, codependent relationship can be. Oddly, as they both take turns pointing the finger and placing blame at one another, I couldn't help but to feel as if the bigger picture was being missed. Malcom is a narcissist. Take notice, how everything flows when she is complimenting or uplifting him. Nothing good is ever mentioned about Marie. A person like this will never see the true value in his or her partner because he is incapable of caring for anyone else's feelings but himself! Sadly, to say, but people undergo this type of emotional abuse all the time. It's hard to escape from it, because the narcissistic partner will always reel you back in with their conditional love...
