Great portrayals of the main characters and the motivations that drive them. The only thing I could ask for is more world building in the big-picture perspective. A map of the kingdom(s) under attack and world overall would serve this very well, either as exposition by the attacker or by the defending kingdoms. Hopefully such a scene makes it into season 2 or beyond.
