i genuinely really enjoyed this show. when i had first started it, i was expecting it to be more like "all of us are dead" or "#alive," but i was pleasantly surprised at the reality tv aspect of this whole show. i have a feeling that a lot of people don't understand that this isn't one of those "regular" zombie survival shows, but rather more of a game show/reality show. there are some super funny aspects of this show and it's not to be taken too seriously. this is something that i could see myself watching on tlc--sort of like a "last man standing" kind of game. i thought it would've been obvious to the viewers that this is what this show was aiming towards because of the quests the "players" were given and the humor sprinkled throughout, but i was surprised at how many people really didn't get it. this isn't to be taken too seriously because in the end, it's really just reality tv, and none of that is meant to be taken seriously.
i actually can't wait for the second season of this show, so i hope that everyone begins to understand the idea behind this entire thing and enjoy it for what it is. sure, the storytelling isn't the best, but i think that's what makes it funnier. reality tv isn't commonly known for its "genius storytelling," after all.
