Connie Klein

I loved this book. Could not stop reading it. Beautiful writing and fascinating characters who I felt I knew as I read the story. I usually stay away from any books about Nazi Germany or the Holocaust but this was an exception for me. I read the author's current novel first and fell in love with her style and knowledge and specificity of place and people. This first historical novel of hers was a prize winner and I can see why. It rekindled my love of art history, too.
