What a great film. As prequel to a reboot, epic origin of a scene-stealing support character or bait-and-switch non-eponymous sneak lead now acheiving full eponymosity, it actually stands out well on its own. The epic feats of the characters are only about as unrealistic as ancient myths retold in a post-apocalyptic future. Thor does some good speachifying and nose acting and Queens Gambit is excellent at glare-posing and her deep, cultured voice is always a fun surprise when she occasionaly speaks. Every vehicle is made from handily mix and match parts, chrome lasts for ever or maybe grows on trees, water is rare but for plot reasons is infinite in unlikely places. Its very Jedi in that with people only bleed enough to be interesting but on the other hand knowing how Furiosa ends up doesn't spoil the plot. Well done George Miller, you're really getting the hang of this now.
