Could not put this book down! I have the ebook and the paperback. My Mum grew up in London and married my Dad during the war. Neither of them talked much about it so we didn’t ask. My Dad is American. My Mum was in the land army because she was too short to be a WREN! I learned so much about that time in this book. I’ve also read The Last Gardeyin England and Whispers of War. All 5 stars.
