As a long time fan of Oz this was a wonderful time seeing the beloved play adapted and put to screen. Casting was fantastic no matter the feeling on the lead's political takes. I personally feel like i was able to revisit Oz as i never have before and this story is not only powerful but a good time. The cons i do think the run time could've been shortened by about 30 minutes or so. At one point I was checking the time because the movie felt like it was grinding to a halt about 2 hours in and was just building to the final song. I do recommend for all enjoyers of recent movies like Dear Evan Hanson, In the Heights, Mean Girls, and Hamilton to watch this movie. I do personally love where Hollywood is going adapting Broadway shows to the big screen so all can enjoy there amazing stories characters and music.
