I never write long essays for reviews, but I’m in the mood right now since I just finished listening to this book…
This book was EXACTLY what I needed for my RE investing journey. This book specific uses the different stages of investing- a starter, builder, and ender. This made me realize I’m reaching the ender phase and clarified what I need to do to start paying down my mortgages and how to do it and why it’s good to do it.
The scenarios in the book gave me confidence that paying off the mortgages is the right thing to do and that its ok to not want to keep growing. I’ve grown my own portfolio and am now feeling over- leveraged, but it is relatively small. It’s not as fun to acquire more properties like it used to be- made me wonder- am I falling behind? Am I getting lazy?
I listen to lots of BP podcasts, and the guests are usually home run hitters, and can be easy for me to think I’m falling behind.
This book was great that it stated the obvious. My road to financial freedom isn’t necessarily a simple number or quantity to compare with others, but more about taking control of my time and priorities, so that I can reach my goal of being job optional by a certain age.
Thank you Chad for writing this book and giving me confidence about my small and mighty portfolio! 🙏🏽
