just no, Batman as a detective only really solves riddles, was not able realize that he should scope out the area around the club for the riddler, since he is obviously there himself scoping out who comes in and out. Batman would not have even found the carpet secret if the cop didn’t tell him that is a carpet pusher. I mean could Batman not realize the carpet was not properly done? Did Batman not bother to try and find out what that took is? Like really? The film is supposed to be more grounded in reality but Batman is pretty much 100% bullet proof and doesn’t even try to avoid bullets or do quick movements. Batman even gets blown up from inches away just to end up being perfectly fine. The riddler doesn’t even bother to wear a suit and comes off crazier than ever, and Bruce Wayne is portrayed as a man who doesn’t do anything for his city at all, he is a hermit, he doesn’t donate or go to events, and when he does he hides and quietly sulks around. The end message could have been portrayed better, with batman being a symbol of hope for the city and fear for the criminals by simply saving someone and helping them up. Or Bruce Wayne donating again while Batman goes around saving people. Instead it’s shown as Batman in broad daylight airlifting civilians. He does not need to even be there as help already arrived. My favorite part of this movie was the penguin! Oh man I’ve never thought I would see such a perfect but realistic portrayal. If this movie was suppose to show more of Batman’s detective side I feel like I’ve seen better detective movies who show more skills and action.
