I bought the book for 10 cents at a thrift store. I love Grisham novels. This one had me baffled about the railroad story. It needed more if the resolution explained. Good for Judge Noose to get him paid. It depicts judges as being somewhat crooked where the other victims of crime would suffer because of the leverage he had. I felt bad for Kiera enduring the pregnancy and subsequent birth of a child conceived through rape. His wife Carla showed a very selfish side. Overall it was an intriguing read but the end could have been better. I was expecting Stuart's family to drop the charges in exchange for the baby.
