Reading Almond was living life with Yunjae, the way he described everything happening around himself. His conversations with Dr. Shim and Dr. Yun were like I am present there and listening to it first-hand. The way his chitter chatter with granny and mom is explained is when I started missing my mom. Yunjae takes us in his life and makes us his shadow, we get to feel what he is missing, he touches our lives in an unexpected way.
The journey of transitioning Gon's life and his POV towards the very character is amazing. He makes a good point of being present and lifting someone from a place where they shouldn't be. His chemistry with Dora which he couldn’t understand, but we could.
He is beyond words and yet full of life. Almond is a must read for teenagers and people looking to dive into a world of emotions.
