I would actually give "Class of 09" a 2.5/5 but not sure how to input a half star. Many reviews here are given based on viewing only a few episodes, so don't really give a realistic rating, after all who would give a rating to a movie based on the first 20 minutes? My rating is based on watching the full 8 episodes. The first couple of episodes were quite intriguing, and had a decent amount of action and showed promise. The subsequent episodes however did not deliver the earlier promise. The key problem was the pacing, it was way too slow. Lots of talking.....and more talking........and more talking........but the plot never really developed and the time jumps made the pacing seemed even slower than perhaps a simpler linear story line. The acting was okay, but there were no standout performances and no really good characters to root for or against. Perhaps the thing lacking most was any real tension. 'Class of 2009" is perhaps better suited to being a 90 minute feature film rather than a tv series. Shame it had potential but didn't really go anywhere.
